Recipe: Pear Cake
You could make a simple glaze for this cake, but I love it just as it is. Excellent with a cup of coffee or tea.

Recipe: Tomato Soup Cake
Mama B shares a family favorite recipe with us today. For those who are wary -- No, it doesn't taste like tomatoes -- it resembles a spice cake. Delicious!

Recipe: Hungarian Letcho (sort of)
This is a great way to stretch a couple of chicken breasts or pork chops. Leftovers work well too. We call it Letcho, although its definitely identical to the traditional dish. It is fast, easy and very flavorful though, and perfect for a homecooked family meal or company. I've been asked for the recipe many times, and they're always surprised.

Another recipe from my vintage cookbook collection -- these were so easy to make. We even managed to save enough to freeze for another meal.

Recipe: Bronco Pot Roast
I found this recipe in a small vintage regional cookbook this past week. I'm not sure what bronco riders in Texas have to do with it, but the recipe is definitely a keeper!
