Recipe: Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple and Pomegranate

A quick and easy dinner you're family will love.

Our local grocery store is selling boneless pork chops for 3 packages for the price of one. This cost us $3.00 for the meat and used up the peppers, onion and celery I had in the crisper.  A very economical dinner. Serve with rice.

Recipe: Tomato Cornbread Pie

I saw this recipe made on one of my favorite cooking shows - The Chew. I was anxious to see how it compared to my favorite Tomato and Bacon Pie recipe. The results were different - this version is more of a casserole/bread offering rather than a traditional pie, but its still a wonderful side dish or potluck offering!

Recipe: Texas Potatoes

This recipe is from a very old and faded family cookbook. I'm not sure exactly why they're called Texas potatoes, but they are very easy to throw together, and taste wonderful. A great side for a family dinner, or a brunch buffet offering.  There are a million and one ways to change them up. Add cheese. Jalapenos or other peppers, sausage crumbles or do like I did and make them just as the recipe says.

Making your house smell great doesn't mean you have to spray the air with chemicals, or purchase expensive oils that seem to be all the rage right now. Simply making sure you don't waste something perfectly re-usable and adding a few touches will do the trick.
